Backpacking through Australia (My Dream Holiday)

‘Backpacking through Australia’, that’s my dream holiday. Travel far, visit all beautiful places and experience incredible things.

I would like to visit places like: Great Barrier Reef, Ulura-Kata Tjuta National Park, Blue Mountains National Park, Kakadu National Park, Bondi Beach and Fraser Island. All those activities are insane, but you can’t walk, because Australia is a big country. So I would like to travel around by car, a Jeep, to be precise. I think it would be a great adventure together with friends. Touring through the landscapes, visiting breath-taking places and participate in amazing activities.

The great thing about backpacking is the fact that it isn’t that expensive. The flight to Australia and hiring the car are the most expensive things. We’re going to sleep in basic hotels, no luxury, just back to basic. I would like to do this trip when I’m between 25 and 30 years old. This is the perfect age, because I will probably have enough money and you have much energy to do things the entire day. The older you get, the harder this trip gets. I would like to do it during spring, because it’s way too hot at summer.

When I was around 7 years old, my teacher told me about Australia and his trip. Since that day, I was totally in love with the country down under. My teacher told me about his trip with pictures and great stories, it was so great that I’ve never forgotten it.

Give the future to the youth (Essay)

In this blog, you will get to know why it is important to lower the voting age to 16. In the cuurent situation, you are able to vote if you are 18 years old, but it is time for a change. The voting age should be lowered to 16 years.

There are many discussions about this statement, because many people think that 16 years is too young to vote right. It is definitely a tough situation, because those 16-years old kids are not mature and they do not understand all the things happening in the world. This is also why the adults do not want to lower that voting age. But research proves that the brains of those kids are fully grown to understand and think about some world problems or other situations. They see things from a different perspective than adults and that is the good thing about it. With different opinions and visions, you can analyse the problem in many ways. So if we lower the age to 16, those fresh minds will help us by fixing a problem.

Besides that, those young people are the future: the greenhouse effect, the massive world population and many more things. All those tasks will be in the hands of those kids in the future. This is also a reason why the voting age should be lowered, it’s their future and they should decide how it will be. All the senior citizens nowadays make the choice to give more money to the elderly and sure, it is important to care them, but they will die earlier than the youth. When they die, we will be thankful for what they did, but we need to carry on and the youth of today will need to do that and that is why they should decide about their own future.

Also if we lower the voting age, the youth will be more interested in politics and world problems that need to be fixed. By lowering the age, the young people will automatically know more about all those things and they will be smarter: they will know about the proportions, relationships, war and many more situations in the world. They will also understand better why some things happen.

All those benefits will help us to save the world, to develop more machines and for everyone to live a good life. That is why the voting age should be lowered to 16.

Spiderman: Homecoming (review performance)

In this blog, I’m going to review Spiderman: Homecoming. A film of the Marvel Universe, created by Marvel, which came out in 2017. The story is about Peter Parker A.K.A Spiderman, who is the hero of his city. He does little things, like helping old women or defeating robbers. But on a day, he and his friend Ned find a special gun, this is a weapon of a criminal organisation. Peter has a friendship with Tony Stark: Iron Man and the boss of the Avengers (this is also a Marvel Universe creation). Tony Stark wants Peter to become a strong superhero and gives him the opportunity to train at the Avengers office. Peter gets his suit upgraded by Tony and his training has begun. When he talks to Tony about the gun, Tony prohibits Peter to go after them by himself. Tony puts a tracker in the Spiderman suit, so he can check if Peter stays in the city and doens’t go after the criminals. But Peter wants more action and adventure so he and Ned remove the tracker without Tony Stark knowing and he goes on his mission.

Besides his superhero life, Peter has his highschool life. On his school he has met Liz and he loves her, but she doensn’t know that. It’s the end of the schoolyear and there’s a party: Homecoming Dance. Peter invites Liz to go with him, and she accepts the invite.

As I told you Peter has 2 lives. Peter at highschool and Spiderman against the villains. A week before Homecoming, Peter finds the main base of the villains, who are busy with designing a powerful suit. Peter sees the boss of the organisation and tells Tony. Tony is angry about the fact he didn’t listen to him and tells him to go away.

It’s the day of Homecoming and Peter is going to pick up Liz for the party. When he rings the door, the father of Liz opens. It’s the boss of the criminal organisation, Peter is shooked and acts weird. The father asks if something is wrong, but he doens’t recognize Peter as Spiderman. During the party, the villains attack the city and Peter leaves Liz to rescue the city although Tony told him to stop. The great fight against each other finishes in a ‘win’ for Peter. They are both exhausted and when Peter has the opportunity to kill him, he doesn’t, because of Liz. Tony Stark comes to the rescue and helps Peter. After this Tony wants Peter to become an Avenger, but Peter refuses and he just goes further in his schoollife as Peter Parker.

I really recommend this film. It’s a really good sequel on the other Spiderman movies and it’s great for the Marvel Universe.

Lost – Dermot Kennedy (Lyrics Discussion)

In this blog, I’m going to discuss the lyrics of the song ‘Lost’ by Dermot Kennedy. I like his music very much and I think ‘Lost’ is one of his greatest songs. The song is a bit sad, but it also gives you the feeling of strength. Kennedy always has inspirational lyrics and every song has is own “lesson”. I think he wrote this song to show you that there is Always something to live for: family, friends or other fantastic things in life.

The vibe this song gives you is beautiful and besides that, the instrumental part is gorgeous. Every song of Dermot Kennedy has a hidden message and I think that’s a very cool thing about him. This song gives me the feeling of happiness and especially the sentence: ‘But if only you could see yourself in my eyes, You’d see you shine, you shine’, gives me a good feeling. Many songs are about sad things, but Dermot turns it into a powerful meaning. Other sentences like: ‘Someday I’ll need your spine to hide behind’ and ‘How no one loves the birds that don’t rise’, has a really special meaning and I think that everyone has his or her own experience that he can connect to the lyrics.

All the things mentioned above is the main power of Dermot Kennedy, so many emotions in a song, but everyone has his own feeling or experience. Completely apart from all others. That’s also why I chose this song, it gave me the motivation and the power in a sad time and that’s why it’s so beautiful.

The Farmer (Short Story)

It was a cold, dark night. Tom and Mary had been driving to the castle for about five hours. The wind was howling and in the distance they could hear the cry of wolves in the forest. Suddenly the car came to a stop. It had broken down. Tom opened the door and the first thing he heard was a loud scream. It was a very loud sound, a scream of a little girl, it remembered him of his youth, when he was playing hide and seek with his friends. During the game, there was a scary but also weird girl behind him out of nowhere and when he ran way, he never saw her again. The only thing he remembered was that she had torn farmer clothes. He never said something about her and also didn’t think about her, until now.

Dreaming away about the entire situation, Mary told Tom that he should hurry up. While Tom was checking the engine, Mary screamed out loud. Tom jumped up and saw Mary, sitting there like her entire soul had left her body. He asked what she saw, but Mary didn’t answer. When Tom was walking to her, he heard the scream again. Tom grabbed Mary’s wrist and noticed she was breathing. He asked Mary again and this time she answered: “I….. I….. saw someone. A little girl…..” Tom was watching the entire area, but saw nothing and when he wanted to ask her about the clothing of the girl, the hood slammed with a loud smash. Tom told Mary that they should walk to the castle, because he couldn’t fix the engine. The castle wasn’t far away, but it was dark and foggy, so the road was difficult to see.

After walking a few minutes, Tom bumped his head into a tree and heard the scream again while he was falling to the ground, but Mary didn’t hear anything at all. When Tom stood up he saw trees all around them, he realised that they had walked the wrong way and were in the forest now. While they were walking, looking for the road, they heared more and more screams, it became darker every step they walked and suddenly it was silent. Tom and Mary were watching the entire area, but the only thing they saw was an old barn. They walked to the big barn, both scared of what was happening and in the opening of the big door, they saw a shadow, the shadow of that girl, the girl that had been following them the entire time. Tom recognized the girl by her farmer clothes and they stood there, entirely quiet. The girl walked away into the barn and just when they wanted to run away, they heard a chainsaw and they turned around, they saw a farmer, swinging his chainsaw through the air. Tom and Mary ran away, without knowing where they were walking, running and screaming through the forest was the only thing they could do. All the fog made the area like a maze, nowhere to go, the only escape was death…
